WE DON'T HAVE ACTIVITY PROGRAMS..
WE HAVE LIFE ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS

“What is the purpose behind activities?” SeniorCare believes that “activities-for-activity-sake” is meaningless. There needs to be a purpose, a goal, behind everything we do. We love the term “Life Enrichment Program” because it makes us think about the purpose behind the program.

Our Life Enrichment Program is based on activities with a purpose behind them. Activities are the heart of wellness. We have a motto that “happier and healthier seniors live longer and more productive lives.”  Activities play a key role to keeping residents’ minds and bodies vital. Memory games, fitness activities, painting, singing all are done with specific goals in mind. Some of the valid purposes behind our superb activities are: to be productive, to contribute, and to experience success, to play, to build skills, and to fulfill a religious or spiritual need.

Numerous Activities
We add joy, stimulation (physical & mental) and satisfaction to our residents’ lives, no matter what their cognitive or physical level may be.Activity adds spice to life. It can also help reduce anxiety, relieve stress and maintain higher levels of functioning. So we encourage our residents to be as active as they can be.

Our activity program is designed with physical and mental stimulation, ability and enjoyment in mind. And there is plenty of choice, too. (Take
a look at the Activity Scrapbook, Upcoming Events and monthly Activity Calendar on one of our community websites such as
www.seasonsmontclair.com )

Fitting Activity to Abilities

We understand that some of our residents are more adventurous, so we encourage them to go out, to try new things, to explore. Others we know would rather keep busy where they feel most comfortable, so we offer plenty to do at our Seasons community. For those residents who happen to have limitations and special needs, we tailor many of our activities to allow them to join in on the fun.

We also realize that some people may choose to be left alone, especially new residents. So we are patient and let them adjust at their own pace. Usually, as their comfort level grows, so does their level of involvement.
Studies have shown a direct correlation between the amount of activity, and the quality and longevity of life. So we keep our residents as active they can be.

Excursions & Groups
Some people just have to be where it's happening. So they jump in our van and take advantage of our many outings and excursions. These outgoing folks look forward to getting together with their friends to offer camaraderie, share conversation, explore the world around them, stimulate their minds and of course, have lots of FUN.

Where They Go

Our adventurous residents love to get up and go. Here are examples of some of the excursions they love to go on.

  • Lunch & dinner at local restaurants
  • Scenic drives
  • Movies
  • Theater and concerts
  • Shopping trips
  • Baseball games
  • County fairs & other special events
  • Picnics in the park
  • Dancing
